The 2010 went off great. Cloudy skies threatened early but the weather turned out great for a run in the foothills. As usual there were skinned knees and leg cramps out on the course but everyone seemed to finish with a smile. We had new winners this year with Anna Frank winning the 5k overall and 16 year old Craig Varner taking the 20k overall win. Congratulations to them and all who took on this tough course.
Some of you may have known Al Adams, who passed away in late November. If you've ever run on the bike trail, it's likely he rolled by you on his bike and offered a bit of encouragement. He was a fan of the Toad's run and so there is a special spot on this year's race shirt in honor of Al.
As always, we thank those who helped to make Toad's happen: South High ROTC for manning the water stations, BTC members like Barb & Doug Johnston, Lori Taylor, Richard Garrett, Greg and Loa Underwood, and Jonathan Wykoff for his timing expertise.
We really appreciate the fine businesses that sponsor this event. Please support them as much as they support you. Find out who they are by using the sponsor links on the left.
Be sure to attend the upcoming winter events like the Fog Run, BTC Half Marathon, and the PEAK Club Valentine's Run. Find these and more at the BTCwebsite.
