Race Review
The 2019 race managed to dodge the rain after all. That's not to say there wasn't any mud out on the course. A few finishers brought some of it back all over themselves after finding out just how slippery it can be.
There were once again new champions this year like Jacob Royal winning the 20k overall and Marissa Mooney taking the women's division. The 5k was won by seventeen year old Francis Johnson while Christina Ortiz took the women's win. Congratulations to them and all who took on Bakersfield's wildest run course.
As always, we thank those who helped to make Toad's happen: BTC President Rey Rodriguez, Eloy Vazquez, and Kathleen Kozlowski for set up and logistics and over 50 CSUB Kinesiology students for handling all tasks from registration, to manning the water stations, to providing post race nutrition. Their help was amazing.
We really appreciate the fine businesses that sponsor this event. Please support them as much as they support you. Find out who they are by using the sponsor links on the left.
Be sure to attend the upcoming winter events like the Fog Run, BTC Half Marathon, and the CSUB Kinesiology Club Valentine's Run. Find these and more at the BTCwebsite.
