2009 Results
December 5, 2009.....another great day to run in Bakersfield's foothills. There were 327 runners who came out to test themselves on the tough 5k and 20k courses. All got to experience the elements.... Water: sweat and aid stations, Air: never enough when climbing those hills, Fire: the deep desire to improve at every event, and Mr. Toad's: the race that brings all these elements together.
Another event was added this year.....the marriage proposal. 20k racer Toshi Hosaka proposed to his girlfriend when he came up to pick up his medal at the awards ceremony. She said yes and received a beautiful engagement ring. Mr. Toad wishes them luck!
